blogging educational ideas
This is my first time to have a blog so it has been an interesting experience to learn about blogging. Ive always heard about blogging it just wasn't a very popular thing in my high school or with my family. I might do an activity such as a bell ringer with my students using a blog. They can make up their own bell ringer and each student in the class could comment what answer they think fits best with the question. I want them to learn to think outside of the box and do things for themselves. I want them to come together and give each other feed back on the questions that each student might post because not everyone will have the same response.Reading each of the responses and questions would let me know where each student stands. It will help me on what things I need to cover more in depth in class on topics that they struggled on.

Blogging by students is an excellent informal assessment tool. Informal assessments are meant to give you a feel for how the students are doing--what do they understand and what is missing?

Same as Emma. What is a bell ringer? I think I know and just heard it called something else but can you explain on that.
ReplyDeleteI think that doing a bell ringer is a smart idea. It makes your students be involved in discussion and use their minds to answer questions according to the lessons you have been teaching.
ReplyDeleteUsing blogs to see where students are in their learning process is a good idea. Remember that some students may need extra help in a different area than other students. Out of class work, through blogging, could be a good way to reach the students who need that extra help without spending too much time on one subject in the classroom.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of letting kids think outside the box. When kids can come up things using their imagination is a wonderful experience that I hope blogging will create. I might just use this Idea in future teacher plans
ReplyDeleteI love your colors on this page! Exciting and fun! Your bell ringer idea is a great way to get students focused and moving forward in class. This is a much better way to get started than a teacher at the front of the room begging for the students attention. Great thinking!
ReplyDeleteI love your bell-ringer idea! It helps students understand material if THEY have to come up with the question and answer. It also makes warm-ups more entertaining than answering a question individually on a piece of paper.

ReplyDeleteI like your idea of having your students make up bell ringers that other ones would comment on than just you giving them one. This way students have a good dose of creative thinking!
